Autoblog confirmed that the bookings for the new 2008 Nissan GT-R is possible until October 24. Anyone who has ordered and sign their signature on the order form can’t cancel their order. They have to buy.
There will be 3 versions of the new Nissan GT-R available. The standard GT-R is expected to start at $57,000 while the V Spec and EVO Spec will start at $67,000 and $94,000 respectively and they are available in a 6 speed and an advanced paddle shifting automatic. It’s not known yet what is the displacement of the engine, either 3.7 or 3.8 liter but it was mentioned that the Standard GT-R and V Spec will be equipped with a 480HP version of the VQHRTT engine.
The GT-R EVO meanwhile will get a 530HP version of the VQHRTT engine and will be 220lbs lighter then the standard GT-R and will be fitted with light weight seats, a larger more aerodynamic rear spoiler, large ceramic brake rotors, and a revised Altessa AWD geared for more track use.
The new Skyline GT-R will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show next month.
