Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) recently has announced that the second generation US-Spec 2009 Mazda6 will be revealed in late summer, 2008. The 4-door sedan Mazda6 will be available in 3 versions, Sport, Touring and Grand Touring.
The North American Mazda6 differs to the rest of the Mazda6 in the world in term of its size, engine and styling. The car will be larger at the exterior and interior and the engine will b more powerful.
The Mazda6 is powered by a MZR 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and 3.7-liter V6 as used in the 2008 CX-9. The 2.5-liter version engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed Sport AT automatic with manual-shift mode while the 3.7-liter V6 is mated to a 6-speed Sport AT automatic with manual-shift mode.
The car is fitted with all-independent suspension system with 4-wheel disc brakes and standard ABS and dynamic stability control. More information will be available closer to the launch.
