The people from Edmund’s Inside Line has released a full test video of the new 2009 Nissan GT-R. The test was done on a Japanese-spec Nissan GT-R owned by a Japanese journalist Jun Nishikawa. The specs of the car is the same as the one that will be released in the U.S. i.e. a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces at least 473 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque.
From the test, Inside Line reported that the 2009 Nissan GT-R is faster than the Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo that they’ve tested. The GT-R clocked 3.3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) and a quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 120 mph (196 km/h). Watch the video after the jump.
With the said power, the car require world-class braking system to put it to halt. The Nissan GT-R is equipped with 15-inch rotors, 6-piston Brembo calipers and wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE070R tires in order to bring the GT-R to rest from 60 mph in only 104 feet.
