Volkswagen has released the special edition version of the golf GTI dubbed the Golf GTI Pirelli which is based on the Golf GTI Edition 30 that was released early last year.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine producing 230 hp, an increase by 30 hp from the stock 200 hp. Power is channeled via a 6-speed manual or the twin-clutch DSG gearbox.
The GTI clocked 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, an increase from the stock 7.2 seconds. The top speed is also increase from 146 mph to 152 mph.
At the exterior, the VW Golf GTI Pirelli features 5-spoke 18-inch alloys wrapped in 225/40 R18 Pirelli P-Zero tires, body colored-front splitter, new side skirts, new rear bumper, tinted rear windows, and smoked rear light lenses.
On the interior, the car GTI features half-leather sport seats and yellow stitching against the black leather seats, sport steering wheel and the handbrake.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli is available in silver, black and blue, priced at £22,555 (US$44,500) for a 6-speed manual 3-door up to £24,385 (US$48,040) for the 5-door 6-speed twin-clutch DSG gearbox.
