The all-new British sports car, Zolfe Orange which made its production debut at the Autosports 2008, is a sports car resulted from the collaboration between Midland business entrepreneur and car enthusiast Nic Strong and former Caterham Technical Director, Jez Coates.
The Zolfe Orange is a rear wheel drive vehicle powered by a 2.3-liter Ford Duratec engine producing 185 hp (138 kW) and mated to a Mazda MX-5 five-speed manual gearbox. Optional are a more powerful engine, a six-speed manual or automatic and limited slip differential.
The car features spaceframe chassis and composite body that weights at just over 700 kg. Other features include AP Racing brake system consists of disc brakes at all four wheels, Avon tires air-conditioning and electric windows.
The price for the Zolfe Orange starts at £27,500 (approximately $42,000) and most of the cars will be delivered to the US. Production of the Zolfe Orange is limited to 30 units per year. More information at www.zolfe.com
